Brisbane The River City

The city of Brisbane on Queensland's east coast of Australia is a fantastic place to visit. The weather is consistantly beautiful, the river provides energy to an economically strong and growing population and the city has everything in it that residents or visitors could possibly want.

Having travelled the world i believe Brisbane offers the vibrancy to rival Seattle, the climate better than LA, the visual beauty of San Francisco, a culinary range that aspires to Paris and a positive economic future that is not far behind Silicon Valley.

Brisbane is an alfresco city, where every opportunity is taken to spend time outdoors. Walking, biking, dining, running, playing sport and barbecuing as close to the river as you can get.

The Big Yin and Buble come to town

February sees 2 of the world’s biggest stars come to town, Billy Connolly will perform his new stand up Show “The Man” at the Entertainment and Convention Centre in South Bank on the 10th and 11th of February, Michael Buble plays at the Entertainment Centre at Boondall on the 11th and 12th so if you want to do the double header, the Big yin on the 11th and Buble on the 12th is the way to go.

Kenny Rogers and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra team up for a 1 night gig at the Convention Centre in South Bank on February 1st and the Powerhouse in New Farm having survived the floods, will be hosting the World Theatre festival from February 9 to 20.

The month comes to a close with another major Musical event for Brisbane, heavy metal fans will be heading to the RNA Showgrounds(assuming it is no longer being used as the flood evacuation centre) on February 26th as Iron Maiden and Queens of the Stone Age headline the Soundwave Festival.
